One of the key pillars of Sustain Britain is resilience.
We’re a movement which believes in enabling communities to become more self-reliant and self-sufficient so that they can build greater resilience.
So, when we were invited to attend a recent meeting with South Cotswold Resilience Group, we were only too pleased to attend. This presented the opportunity to discuss the challenges that they are facing, and how they could apply the Sustain methodology to address these.
A committed, intelligent group of individuals, South Cotswold Resilience is keen to help their local communities and should be applauded and supported. To this end, we will remain involved and support them where we can.
Roz Savage, local MP for the South Cotswolds, was pivotal in inviting us and we can only thank her for the introduction and for her continuing support for all that we are doing.
Building on this outreach we will be attending the Wiltshire, and the Gloucester Business Show, taking part in panel discussions. These shows give us greater opportunity to engage more widely with local businesses. If you’re not already attending, we would encourage you to join us so that we can take on board your views and input.
In other news, we will soon be sending the ‘Greenprint for a Sustainable, Independent Britain’ out for peer review prior to launching it at our second Sustain Britain Conference in the late summer.
This year we are planning to combine the conference with a Sustain music event to raise the profile of Sustain Britain with an even wider audience. More details to come soon.
Finally, we are pleased to share that Sustain Britain has been invited to appear on Jarvis Smith’s podcast and radio show ‘Lean Into Clean’. We look forward to sharing the date of airing as soon as we have it.
Until next time…
