Positive Pressure! - Sustain Wiltshire

Following last week’s shocking news that the price of our positively pressured prototype greenhouse was due to increase by 230%, we have dealt with this issue head-on.
First, we sat down with the MD of the manufacturer DBS. At times the online discussions were robust and honest, but we have been assured that a much-improved offer will be received by the end of this week. Despite the frank nature of the exchanges, many good ideas emerged. For now, we wait to see the size of their revised quote.
Second, as an insurance policy, we have spoken to a rival Chinese contractor and should have their proposal with us next week. It is not an ideal solution, but it does at least give us a fall-back position.
In brighter news, we have been continuing to develop the design of the Solid Waste Anaerobic Treatment Cells (SWATC). Our goal is to modify our existing gas network to accommodate the new facility by the end of April.
If Wiltshire Council had processed the planning permission on time, we would have had our planning for this by now. As it stands, we wait on their response. In the meantime, we commence site preparation works, making the most of the good weather while it’s here.
Only by pressing on and constantly innovating can we protect our communities from destructive greed and excess – driven by malfunctioning markets that are responsible for damaging both society and the planet.
Until next time…
